The HHS Writing Center Training Grant was in progress this week. The teachers were planning faculty and tutor training for the center as well as creating a writing center handbook. The HHS Writing Center will be open this fall.

The HHS English Department is developing a cross-curricular Writing Center that will help all students at HHS focus on and improve their writing. This grant will provide professional development time for the instructors this summer to plan and organize the Center and create materials for students. The center will be staffed by teachers and student tutors.
