We’ve talked a great deal lately about the impact technology (and in particular iPads) have in the classroom. We hear about it from the teachers who’ve received Foundation grants in the past. Well, it seems research is proving what we’ve already learned from experience.
New research coming out of Wake Forest University shows that even one iPad in the classroom can make a significant difference in the performance of the students. Here’s a great story on what they’ve learned:
This year, we are trying to provide a sizable number of iPads to all five Homewood schools. How many, of course, depends on how much money we raise. It’s only one of our initiatives, but it’s an important part of our overall campaign this year.
Please join us. Every gift, large and small, makes a difference in the lives of our children. Every gift improves our teachers’ abilities and keeps Homewood among the best schools in the country.
