The Foundation attended the recent Teacher Institute Day to kick off the new school year. Our teachers and administrators had the opportunity to sign up to donate to the Foundation through payroll deduction, and their commitment to our cause was most impressive. This year, we had 54 people give to the Foundation, joining the 115 already contributing. That makes 169 teachers and staff who believe enough in the Foundation’s mission to give out of their paycheck each month. A simple thank you seems inadequate, but we want everyone who supports our mission how much we value their participation! Thank you thank you thank you.

As part of our Teacher Institute Day, we gave participating teachers a little extra incentive to join us; we gave away $250 to one lucky person, who happens to be Stacee Fairley, a 9th grade math teacher at the High School. This is her first year teaching in Homewood. Congratulations Stacee!
